What do the vision and core values mean?Working and praying for revival and awakening. These values are central to what we do as a fellowship. We seek to be a Spirit-led and Spirit-empowered church that unashamedly proclaims the full gospel message of salvation through the Lord Christ alone, and we are committed to doing that in Springbourne, Bournemouth, Dorset, England and the rest of the World. We are not only committed to seeing social change in the lives of those we seek to serve, but also the expansion of the Kingdom of God. We long for an awakening to take place in the lives of many people and are committed to work and pray for this to happen. Committed to the Biblical Base. The Bible is central to what we do and we are committed to upholding its truth in our practices as well as our beliefs. We are committed to building only on biblical foundations, and want to see the Gospel proclaimed in all that we do, in our building, where we live and wherever we are. Supporting True Spirituality. We are committed to the principles of body ministry because we are convinced that every person in the Kingdom of God has specific gifts and talents entrusted to them by God. It is our responsibility as a local church to help people to grow in Christ and to develop their gifts. We want to be a church that is committed to people and their growth in the Lord. We are also committed to being open to the Spirit in all that we do. We want to be a church that radiates the glory of God, a church that worships in the power of the Spirit and in His freedom. But spirituality is about much more than simply an internal sense of God's presence and so we are committed to the power of change that the gospel brings when it is fully proclaimed, within the lives of individuals, communities, the nation and the world, and we want to see Christians living out their vocation to be salt and light in a world of sin and darkness. Striking the Balance. The world today needs a church that is credible, relevant and balanced. We want to be balanced in word and Spirit, worship and service. We want to be a church that holds to the important traditions of the past without being tied by unnecessary habit and custom. We want to honour the experience of older people but capture the energy of youth. In short, we want to be a church of balance, anointing and effectiveness as we seek to be faithful to the Lord in all that He has called us to do and be. |
